On 9 June the Verkhovna Rada passed the law "On the Safety and Interoperability of Rail Transport of Ukraine". 254 MPs voted in favour.
The law brings Ukrainian railway rules into line with EU standards, laying the foundation for European-gauge track and future international routes.
