From 1 December 2016, for the New Year holiday period, PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia has suspended its online ticket reservation service as an experiment. Tickets can now only be bought online, not reserved.
The decision to suspend online seat reservations was made by Ukrzaliznytsia's management in response to numerous complaints from passengers about problems buying tickets during peak travel periods, in particular the winter holidays. Ukrzaliznytsia hopes the experiment will help prevent abuses related to the illegal resale of tickets.
