Free children's area opens at Dnipro station

Rail travel is becoming even more pleasant and comfortable thanks to special initiatives for young passengers. A unique children's area has recently opened at Dnipro station, giving young passengers something fun to do while they wait for their train and giving parents a chance to rest.

The new space for children at Dnipro station is a "Spilno" point, created with the participation of UNICEF and JSC Ukrzaliznytsia. This is the fourth railway station in Ukraine to offer children a varied, free area for play and development. Initiatives like this make train travel more comfortable for young passengers and their parents. These children's areas are becoming popular places for families, and more than 110,000 children have visited them since the start of 2023.

"Spilno" children's points already operate in twenty Ukrainian cities. They play an important role in giving children a sense of stability in difficult times. They provide a safe environment where children can simply enjoy being children, taking their minds off the stress of war, and they offer families psychological support and advice.

The "Spilno" point at Dnipro station is a spacious 128-square-metre area with zones for children's creativity and play. There are also facilities for parents, including phone charging, booths for breastfeeding and nappy changing, and seating for waiting.

This free children's point in Dnipro is open 24 hours a day and complements similar initiatives in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Lviv. The next one will open at Odesa station.
