Chișinău is one of the most popular airports with Ukrainians: about one in three passengers here comes from Ukraine. A daily train runs from Kyiv, and buses from Odesa take 4–5 hours.

Find flightsEugen Doga International Airport is about 13 km from central Chișinău. The easiest ways in are the train from Kyiv or a bus from Odesa.
Train No. 351 runs daily. It leaves Kyiv at 16:40 and reaches Chișinău at 10:04 the next morning, a journey of about 17.5 hours. On the way it stops at Koziatyn, Vinnytsia, Zhmerynka and Mohyliv-Podilskyi. Border checks are done on board at Mohyliv-Podilskyi and at the first Moldovan station, so stay in the carriage until they are finished.
Since August 2026 the train from Kyiv continues past Chișinău to Revaca station near the airport. Buy a ticket to Chișinău and tell the conductor you are going to the airport. A free bus ran from Revaca to the terminal over the summer, so check whether it still runs before you travel. The return train does not call at Revaca, so board it at Chișinău’s main station.
Buses from Odesa to Chișinău Airport cross at Maiaky–Palanca and take 4–5 hours including the border. The Maiaky bridge is sometimes closed after shelling, so check the road before you set off and leave extra time.
Trolleybus 30 stops at the terminal and takes 45–50 minutes from the centre. Bus 33 and minibus 165 are other options from near the railway station. A trolleybus or city bus ride costs 7 lei, so carry some cash. A taxi from the centre takes 20–40 minutes.
The airport handled over 6 million passengers in 2025, and in summer 2026, 28 airlines flew to 70 cities from here. Wizz Air, which has a base here, runs the most flights.
The easiest way is train No. 351 Kyiv–Chișinău. It leaves at 16:40, arrives in Chișinău in the morning and then continues to Revaca station near the airport. From the main station you can reach the terminal by minibus 165 or taxi.
By bus via the Maiaky–Palanca crossing it takes 4–5 hours including the border. The time depends on the border queue and on whether the Maiaky bridge is open.
For Ukrainians a passport is the safer choice. An ID card may not be accepted at the border, and you need a passport for a flight out of Moldova anyway.
The airport recommends at least 3 hours before departure, and 3–4 hours on peak days in the holiday season.
Cabin bag sizes, checked bags and when online check-in opens are in the AnyTrain airline guide. Check the rules on the airline website before you fly.
